SAS Engagement Awards

 

o At the last professional meeting of the semester, scholarships will be presented to students who demonstrate significant engagement in SAS meetings and events during Fall 2026.

 

o Eligible students must satisfy the leadership eligible membership requirements and be students at NIU in the following semester.

 

o Names will be drawn randomly from the attendance records of eligible students for all meetings and events during the semester. So, students who attend more meetings and events will have a greater chance of receiving a scholarship.o Students must be present at the drawing to receive a scholarship.

Leadership Eligible SAS Membership

​

o  During Fall 2026, students must attend at least seven scheduled Professional Meetings and two Networking Events during the semester to be eligible for future leadership roles in SAS.

​

o  Attendance is highly encouraged for all Professional Meetings, the Networking Events, the Service Event, and the Career Development Event.

​

o  Students can replace one of the Networking Events with attendance at the Career Development Event or by participating in the Service Event.
